こんにちは！福井県敦賀市にある鉄骨工事業・(有)松本鉄工所です。
北陸地方は6月7日に梅雨入りしました。しかし、今日は昼前から工場内の温度が上がってきました。工場の屋根の採光部分を見ると、直射日光が透過していました。先日ご紹介した「環境省熱中症予防情報サイト」の敦賀の情報を見たところ、今日と明日のお昼は熱中症に「注意」、明後日は「警戒」と言う予測になっていました。皆さん、梅雨入りしましたが、引き続き熱中症対策に努めましょう！
ところで、昨日の打ち合わせの中で「？」な専門用語に出会いました。
「そこは“地中梁”にするんでしょう？」
“地中梁”とは？？ 建物の2階以上の床部分に梁が作られることは想像に難くありません。しかし、地中に梁がなぜ必要になるのでしょうか？
地中梁は、基礎梁とも呼ばれ、地面の下に埋められている梁のことを言います。建築を知らない人から見れば、1階の床は地面の上に有るので梁は必要ないと考えがちです。しかし、1階の床下は土が埋め戻してあるだけですから、時間の経過とともに不均一な地盤沈下が起きてしまいます。これでは1階が使えなくなってしまいます。そこで、2階以上の梁と同様に1階にも地中梁が必要になるわけです。

The Hokuriku district have entered a rainy season on June 7. However, the temperature in our factory has risen before noon today. Looking at the daylighting area of our factory roof, direct sunlight was transmitted.
I checked the “Ministry of Environment Heatstroke Prevention Information Site” introduced in this diary the other day. According to the information site, Tsuruga City needs to be careful about heatstroke in today’s day and tomorrow’s day, and will need to be more careful in the day after tomorrow. We have entered the rainy season, but everyone will continue to take measures against heat stroke!
By the way, I encountered a term I didn’t understand again in yesterday’s meeting.
Customer engineer: “Do you want this part to be an underground beam?” What is “underground beam”? It is easy to imagine that we need beams on the floors above the second floor of the building. But why do you need beams in the ground?
Underground beams, also called footing beams, refer to beams that are buried under the ground. From the viewpoint of those who do not know architecture, it is easy to think that beams are not necessary because the floor of the first floor is on the ground. However, since the ground floor is only filled with soil, uneven ground subsidence will occur with the passage of time. If this situations happened, we will not be able to use the ground floor. So we need underground beams on the first floor as well as beams on the second floor and above.
